Refrigerant R-404a

R404a refrigerant used in air-conditioning units and in refrigerated transport, in industrial refrigeration (cold stores, freezers) and in commercial refrigeration. R404a is a mixture of HFCs commonly used in low and medium temperature refrigeration applications such as commercial refrigeration. Due to the high GWP, the use of R404a is very limited. An alternative substitute may be to choose a factor with a lower GWP, e.g. R449a, R448a, R407f, R407h. Popular applications of R404a are commercial refrigeration (freezers, refrigerators, vending machines), transport and industrial refrigeration.
